As a result, patients enjoy safe and efficient care that involves proactive, comprehensive consideration of all out-of-pocket costs both in and outside the office environment.
As one of the only dermatology practices in Austin proactively acquiring patient feedback, Evans Dermatology is proud to continually earn high satisfaction ratings and reviews from our patients. The largest dermatology practice serving South Austin, Evans Dermatology is has expanded beyond its current Brodie Lane location with the addition of a new location on South Lamar and a location on Kyle Parkway that will open in December 2014.
Our Care Philosophy
Our philosophy at Evans Dermatology is to match the unique needs of each patient with the most effective medications and technologies to provide sustainable, safe, holistic, and cost effective care for diseases of the skin. Every patient is different and his or her personal and medical history, as well as lifestyle all play an important role in choosing therapies best suited to each individual.
Dr. Evans, Dr. McClung, Dr. Peña-Robichaux, and Dr. Rains are each board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Being “board certified” means that the dermatologist has:
- Completed a three-year residency in dermatology
- Passed a rigorous two-part test administered by the American Board of Dermatology.
Additionally, because there continue to be so many advances in medicine, our dermatologists regularly keep up to date with these advances by attending advanced medical education courses, reading medical journals, and much more.
At Evans Dermatology, we care for the skin of your entire family, including pediatric and elder care services. Because of his interest in providing quality care for our elderly community, in 2011 Dr. Colby Evans wrote and published a medical reference book for family practitioners dedicated to the skin concerns of this age group. The English edition has since been translated into several international languages.
